COLLEGE REP PRESENTATION IN FEBRUARY 2022

Owosso High School hosts college, career and military reps on our campus, presenting to student primarily in 11th and 12th grade, affording our students the opportunity to learn about all of their post-secondary options after high school. Below is the current presentation schedule.

Sign up lists are posted outside the Student Services Center on the SSC bulletin board. Students must sign up by noon the day before. Students can attend up to 4 max per semester - so pick wisely! Also, check ahead of time with your teacher to make sure they are cool with you missing class.

If you don't see a college you are interested in, they may have already presented, or they are not yet scheduled.
Some colleges are opting to present for virtual campus tours and presentations. And all colleges offer literal campus tours and events that student and parents can attend together. TIP: Type your college's name in the Google search bar and add the words "Tour" or "Visit". This type of search should get you right to their calendar page and any tour or campus events that may interest you.

FEATURED SENIOR RESOURCES

ANNUAL SENIOR COLLEGE APPLICATION PLAN

  • OCTOBER - Michigan College Month: Michigan College Month is part of the American College Application Campaign initiative with the goal to provide every graduating high school senior the opportunity to apply to college and for financial aid. Special focus is placed on assisting students who would be the first in their families to attend college and students who may not have otherwise seriously considered applying to college.

  • NOVEMBER 1 to (New 2021 Date) MAY 1 - College Cash Campaign: College Cash Campaign in Michigan's initiative focused on encouraging a school-wide rally around FAFSA and scholarship completion to help students find cash for college.

  • MAY 1 - Decision Day: Decision Day is part of the National College Signing Day initiative, and is focused on recognizing high school seniors for their postsecondary educational plans and encouraging younger students and families to prepare early for postsecondary education. College Decision Day is held annually on or around May 1 and is designed to coincide with the date that most seniors must inform a college of their plans to enroll.
